Deadwood Lead Economic Development Corporation established a revolving loan fund with grants provided by the USDA. Loans are intended to create and/or retain jobs through start-up businesses or business expansion. Currently there are 14 businesses in Deadwood, Lead and Central City area that have been able to develop because of this program.

  • Houses are selling the fastest between $250,000-$500,000

  • Rentals are moving fast! Houses especially moving fast

  • Revolving Loan Fund has money available!

  • Lead sales tax would be in track with 2024 but for a deficit in the Construction Division

  • Deadwood saw a slight dip in sales tax in Q1 of 2025, but sales tax remains strong and is $10,000,000 over Q1 2020
